The main use of desulfurized gypsum

Dry calcium sulfate dihydrate (ie plaster stone) is used as a cement retarder in the cement industry.

Semi-hydrated gypsum(ie, plaster of Paris) has cementitious properties similar to cement. The process of removing free water is called drying, the process of removing crystal water is called calcination, semi-hydrated gypsumcould obtain different β-type semi-hydrated gypsumand α-type semi-hydrated gypsum under different calcination.

β-type semi-hydrated gypsumis acquisition by heated and dehydration in the gas phase, also known as building gypsum, mainly used for manufacturing gypsum board, gypsum block, or processing into paint plaster after added additive;

α-type semi-hydrated gypsumis obtained by drying after cooking under pressure of saturated steam, also known as high-strength gypsum, primarily used for producing mold in ceramics and pharmaceutical industry.
